Xenon is committed to conservation of the environment. We will continually seek to reduce the impacts of our products and services and to reduce waste by using material resources in the most efficient manner. We’ll also help support your own environmental programme – for example by switching off unnecessary lights and supplying waste and recycling data.
The core products we use for contract cleaning at all our sites are 100 per cent biodegradable, environmentally friendly and bear the European Eco-Label. The label is a recognised standard which guarantees a product has been tested for reduced impact on the environment throughout its life-cycle – from raw material extraction in the pre-production stage, through production, distribution and product use to its eventual disposal. We use a special wall chart so that everyone knows exactly which eco-labelled product to use, and it’s been translated for our staff who don’t have English as their first language.
We have yet to find an effective eco-labelled alternative to the cleaning products we use for polishing metalwork or in dishwashers but will continue the search. We do not use bleach or solvent-based products during the daily cleaning operation.
We use microfibre cloths for ultimate cleaning efficiency and hygiene.
All the washroom paper we use in-house and supply to clients is certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
All the vans and cars in our vehicle fleet run on LPG or electric dual fuel.
We don’t use waste contractors who send waste to landfill without recycling.
